Bike dance??? What's that? And why????
Bike dance is part of the 'fun-movement' originated on the pacific west coast.
A couple of women wanted to do something unique using their mini-bikes for the Multnomah County Bike Fair. The reception was so great they decided to keep doing it and named themselves The Sprockettes
The Sprockettes had no idea that it would develop into a bike dance phenomena. From Canada, down to San Francisco, over to the UK, even to Japan, the energy to utilize bikes in coordination with dancing grew. One day in August 2010 a couple of ladies were sipping on $2 brews at Easy Bar discussing fun things to do on bikes. One lady inquired to another about The Sprockettes and the motivation sparked to start a group of our own here in Chicago. Hence, The Racketeers were born.
